Spain is the world’s leading producer of olive oil, and there’s no better place to buy it than right here in Seville. Most of Spain’s olive oil comes from right here in Andalusia. Unsurprisingly, the region’s capital is full of what the Romans called “liquid gold.”
Just walk right into any supermarket and take your pick from the dozens of bottles filling entire aisles—or not. While some brands available at the grocery store are of perfectly fine quality, why not support a local small business while stocking up on aceite? Here are our favorite places to buy olive oil in Seville, where you’re guaranteed to find a true gem.
Need a primer? Devour Tours co-founder Lauren is our resident expert in Spanish olive oil. In the video below, she walks you through how to spot the best olive oils, as well as how to store and use it properly at home.
Where to buy olive oil in Seville
While there are many places around the city to pick up a bottle of AOVE, (aceite de oliva virgen extra), or EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) in English, if you want the knowledge and the passion behind creating phenomenal olive oil, you’ll want to check out these shops.

La Oleoteca Sevilla
If you want the best of the best olive oil in Seville, this is where you need to go. Owned by a local team of experts, locals consider La Oleoteca Sevilla to be the place to find the highest quality oils. Tucked into an unassuming spot near the cathedral, this incredible shop offers a world of delicious possibilities.
They also offer catas, tastings which can be arranged before your visit so you can get to know the specific types and varieties of olive oil to suit your taste buds and your cooking style.
From award-winning name brands to small, family-run producers, this shop has it all. Each olive oil is handpicked and regularly tested for quality reassurance. It’s rare to find any kind of shop that takes this extra step, and that’s what makes La Oleoteca one of our favorite places to buy olive oil in Seville.

La Tragoneria
There’s not much you can’t find at La Tragoneria. From craft beer to home decor, this little artisan shop just about has it all. It’s easy to spend an entire afternoon browsing here, but if you don’t have that kind of time, it’s a great place to pick up a bottle of olive oil.
The two women who own the store treat every guest like an old friend and are more than willing to help you find the perfect bottle.
The shop also organizes regular tastings of olive oil and other delicious gourmet products, like their great selection of local wines. It’s a unique locale and one of the best places to buy olive oil in Seville.

Productos de la Sierra
Step into a small village house right in the heart of Seville. Just a stone’s throw from La Maestranza sits Productos de la Sierra, an incredible little shop specializing in products from Andalusia and neighboring Extremadura. Here is where you’ll find some of the best quality olive oil in Seville without breaking the bank.
The friendly, helpful staff can help you find exactly what you’re looking for. If you’d like, they’ll even let you sample the products before you buy. In addition to olive oil, they also offer a wide and delicious range of other gourmet food products.

Aceitunas el Puente
Cross the iconic Puente Isabel II bridge and head into Triana, the barrio many consider to be the heart and soul of Seville. In addition to a dramatic history and strong flamenco tradition, it’s also home to one of Seville’s best markets.
One of our favorite stalls at the Triana Market is Aceitunas el Puente, home to—you guessed it—some of the best olives and olive oil in Seville.
This family-run market stand has sold some of the best olive oil in Seville for more than 50 years. Pick up a bottle and sample some of the delicious olives and banderillas while you’re there. If you’re looking for a truly local experience, this is the way to go.

Where to find olive oil tastings in Seville
Both La Oleoteca and La Tragoneria offer catas as a part of their service to get to know the oils and try before you buy, and Productos de la Sierra will give you the opportunity to try their oil before making your purchase.
Here we have two more options for those who want to learn more about EVOO and its many varieties.

La Cultivada
In the heart of Seville, La Cultivada is a family run company that specializes in responsible farming of olives. Everything they sell comes from their own property in Cordoba and is produced with the maximum respect for the environment, and their dedication to the land and respect for the trees really shows in their final product.
They offer fantastic tastings that suit a variety of budgets, and their knowledge of the EVOOs is inspiring. For those further afield, looking for the taste of Andalusia, they also offer online tastings where an expert will guide you through the oils as if you were there in person.

The Olive Oil Workshop
The Olive Oil Workshop provides a truly unique experience. The founder, Alexis Kerner, has an enviable resume when it comes to olive oil, having served on international olive oil competition juries and is a certified expert taster.
She offers a variety of tastings, including a tasting menu, and one which includes a tour of Feria market, to give you a real taste of the Sevillano life. All events take place in a stunning 19th century home and it offers a full immersive experience that will leave you with a thirst to learn more.

A visit to the source
For those who want to get closer to the source, a visit to the farm and the chance to wander the olive groves is something not to be missed.

Basilippo
This family run farm in the Seville province is an essential stop for those looking to learn about the entire process from tree to bottle. Basilippo offers tastings and tours in their farm in El Viso del Alcor, around half an hour from the city of Seville.
For those with kids, they even offer a tour specifically for families. This farm is so good that they have provided training for the gastro guides of Seville.
